Why Lord Brahma is Not Worshipped

But the question will come to your mind many times that Lord Vishnu Ji and Lord Mahesh (Shiva Ji) have many temples all over the world and people also place their idols in their houses and worship them.

But Brahma is never worshipped. And Lord Brahma has only one temple, which is in Pushkar. Why is it forbidden to worship Brahma Ji? why Lord Brahma is not worshipped?

In fact, it is due to the curse of Goddess Savitri that the worship of Brahma Ji is considered forbidden.

Goddess Savitri had given the curse to Brahma Ji

• According to the Puranas, once Brahma ji was riding on his vehicle swan with a lotus flower in his hand and looking for a suitable place for the agni yagya.

• Just then, in one place, the lotus flower fell from his hand. As soon as the flower fell on the earth, a waterfall was formed on the earth and from that waterfall 3 lakes were formed.

• The places where those three waterfalls were built are known as Brahma Pushkar, Vishnu Pushkar and Shiva Pushkar. Seeing this, Brahma ji decided to perform yagya at this place.

Lord Brahma had a second marriage

• It was necessary to have his wife with Brahma ji in the yagna. Lord Brahma's wife Savitri was not there and the auspicious muhurat was being taken out.

• For this reason, Brahma ji married a beautiful woman present there at the same time and performed the yagya with her.

• When Goddess Savitri came to know about this. Angered by this, he cursed Brahma ji that he who created the creation, of the creation would not be worshipped anywhere in the entire creation.

• There will be no temple of Lord Brahma anywhere in the whole world except Pushkar. Because of this curse, the only temple of Brahma ji is in Pushkar.

Brahma ji had created the Universe

• According to the Padma Purana, Brahma Ji lived in this place of Pushkar for ten thousand years. During this time he created the creation.

• After this, he performed the yagya for five days. Savitri had reached during the same yagna. Even today, devotees do it only from far away from Brahma ji.

Goddess Savitri is seated

• According to the Purana, after the anger subsided, Savitri went to the hills near Pushkar and went to perform penance.

• According to beliefs, Savitri Devi does the welfare of the devotees by staying in the temple.
